Well, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end! I returned home late last night from the most relaxing, interesting, beautiful vacation I have ever been on. I’m proud of my husband that he made it through the entire two weeks without causing an international incident (for those of you who know him, you completely understand what a BIG accomplishment that is!) and I am proud of myself for dredging up my two years of high school French (which was a scary amount of years ago) and managing to have conversations with the shopkeepers in France. OK, I have to admit, I sort of invented a new language that I like to call “Sprench.” I know enough Spanish and French to be dangerous, and I could tell by the confused looks on peoples faces a few times that I had accidentally combined the two languages!
I expected to be really run down and unmotivated upon my return, but am in fact finding that I feel quite the opposite! It was a much needed break from all of the stresses of everyday life, but I now feel rested, invigorated and inspired to get back to work! I have lots of great things going on behind the scenes at The Girl Cave that I can’t wait to tell you about and I am so excited about our incredibly diverse event offerings in May!
P.S. Notice the name of the restaurant in the photo above? It’s not too often that I come across my name on anything, so it was exciting to find I have a namesake restaurant in Propriano, France!
